SMS Program Terms of Service

1. Program Description

Ismaili Council for the Southwestern USA operates a Transportation Assistance SMS program to provide registered event participants with automated text message updates related to transportation logistics, including flight confirmations, arrival details, and volunteer pickup assignments.

2. Eligibility

Participation in the SMS program is available exclusively to individuals who are registered participants in qualifying events through the Southwest portal and who have affirmatively opted in to receive SMS communications during registration.

3. How to Opt In

Participants may opt in to the SMS program by checking the designated SMS consent checkbox during the Southwest portal registration process.

By opting in, you consent to receive automated text messages from Ismaili Council for the Southwestern USA at the mobile number provided.

Consent is not a condition of registration for or participation in any event.

4. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message received from us.

Upon receipt of your opt-out request, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

You may also reply HELP at any time to receive assistance.

Supported opt-out keywords:

STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT

5. Nature of Messages

All messages sent through this program are transactional and logistical in nature.

  • Flight confirmation and arrival details
  • Volunteer pickup assignments and contact information
  • Transportation coordination updates specific to your event registration

Messages will not be used for marketing, fundraising, or promotional purposes.

6. Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies by event. You may receive multiple messages per event in connection with transportation arrangements.

Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile carrier for applicable rates.

7. Voluntary Participation

Participation in the SMS program is entirely voluntary.

Opting out or declining to opt in will not affect your ability to participate in any event, program, or activity organized by Ismaili Council for the Southwestern USA.

8. Disclaimer

Ismaili Council for the Southwestern USA is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues, network outages, or factors outside our control.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the SMS program at any time with reasonable notice to participants.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
