SMS Program Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Ismaili Council for the Southwestern USA ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with our Transportation Assistance SMS messaging program.

This policy applies solely to information collected through the Southwest portal registration flow for the purpose of coordinating transportation logistics for registered events.

2. Information We Collect

In connection with the SMS program, we collect:

• Full name
• Mobile phone number
• Event registration details, including arrival information, flight details, and volunteer assignments

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

• Send automated text messages related to transportation logistics, flight confirmations, and volunteer pickup coordination
• Respond to opt-out and help requests submitted through SMS keywords

We do not use your mobile number or SMS opt-in information for marketing, promotional, or fundraising purposes.

4. Mobile Number Non-Sharing Statement

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent information collected through this program will not be shared with, sold to, rented to, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile number information may be shared with service providers, including Twilio, Inc., solely for the purpose of delivering text messages on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to operate the SMS program.

5. Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies based on event activity and logistics coordination needs. You may receive multiple messages per event in connection with transportation arrangements.

6. How to Opt Out or Get Help

• To opt out: Reply STOP to any message you receive from us at any time. You will receive a confirmation and will not receive further messages.
• For help: Reply HELP to any message. You will receive a response identifying our organization and a point of contact for assistance.

Opting out of the SMS program does not affect your participation in any event or program.

7. Data Retention

Opt-in consent records, including the date and time of consent, mobile number, and consent language presented, are retained for a minimum of four (4) years in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights Under Texas Law

If you are a Texas resident, you may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) with respect to your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information.
